Conrad Gowell is a adventurous wanderer, mindful optimist, keen observer, and fearless conservation ecologist that strives for social and environmental resilience.
Contoured by water, Conrad has lived near tropical marine reserves, sub-artic postglacial volcanoes, and temperate coastal rainforest streams.
Working with governmental, non-profit, tribal, and consulting sectors, Conrad contributes to community led conservation actions, advocates on a global basis for science-based ecosystem management and implements restoration projects in the Oregon Coast range.
Drift Creek is home to populations of salmon and steelhead, old growth temperate rainforests of global significance, and serves as home to culturally important species such as Roosevelt Elk, Spotted Owls and Marbled Murrelets.
For generations people have built connections to restore, preserve, and safeguard the watershed for all. We aim to align people from diverse backgrounds, building collective power to help shape the future.
We share the abundance of the Oregon Coast, connecting landowners, anglers, campers, birders, foragers, hunters, photographers, and nature lovers through its pristine waters, thriving wildlife, and natural beauty. Together, we envision a healthy watershed where clean streams support abundant fish, forests provide refuge for wildlife, and the land inspires recreation and discovery. We honor our legacy by ensuring it remains a source of connection, nourishment, and inspiration.
